CCP Games announced Eve Universe on May 6, 2014 for PlayStation 3 and PC via Steam. While it was revealed that an Xbox One version was in development, it was unclear if this version would be released on the Xbox One or Xbox 360. On May 22, 2014, the Xbox 360 version of the game was released. The game has since been re-released on Windows PC via Steam with all improvements, including new content, as well as new classes. Eve Universe received positive reviews, with Eurogamer ranking it as the 5th best MMO of 2014, and Top 10 multiplayer games of 2014. It is also an official selection in the Humble Monthly and Humble Monthly Games for the Xbox One. In the summer of 2014, CCP announced that CCP Games and DICE will be developing the upcoming free-to-play game, World War Bee for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The game has since been delayed to a planned release in the second half of 2015. On February 4, 2015, CCP announced the release date for the Xbox One version of World War Bee was to be in summer 2015. On May 19, 2015, the Xbox One version of World War Bee was released. On January 31, 2017, CCP announced that the planned MMO game, CCP Games' "next major title", was in development and that the game would be titled Eve: Valkyrie. It was announced that the game would be released in Q4 2017 for the PlayStation 4. On August 2, 2017, Eve: Valkyrie was revealed as an open beta, where players can try it for free on the PlayStation 4, and play it on all platforms at launch. In August 2017, CCP released the Eve: Valkyrie Closed Beta, which is a smaller group of players, such as press and influencers, to test all of the content that will be released. In October 2017, it was announced that CCP would be giving away Eve: Valkyrie to players who purchased and logged in to the Eve Online game. The N.E.O. supporters stated that their opinions on environmental protection should not be taken into consideration by their corporation's board of directors.
